Description

Bring your sound into a good place, quickly and easily, with LOUD. Add density and heft to your sound, shape its tone, and make it loud, while preserving punch and presence - using a minimal, low latency & CPU signal path for maximum quality, with an extremely streamlined interface: LOUD.

Running a single, lean processing stage that combines technologies from our INTENSITY 2, PUNCH and BALANCE plug-ins with a brand new feed-back multi-band limiter, LOUD makes your master chain even better, smoothly gels buses, emboldens individual tracks, and makes location sound or designed assets fuller and richer in post & sound design. Or, jump-start your mix by simply inserting it across all your project's tracks. Audio up to 16 channels wide is supported for immersive workflows, of course.

Whether you are a mix or mastering engineer, sound designer, content creator, re-recording mixer, composer, or music producer, LOUD is for you!

Features at a Glance

  • Combines the engines of INTENSITY 2, PUNCH, and BALANCE with a multi-band limiter and saturation into one, light-weight plug-in.
  • Single processing stage for maximum quality and minimum resource use.
  • Dual algorithm configurations: CLEAN and WARM.
  • TONE control adaptively adjusts frequency response.
  • Level compensated monitoring functionality (AGC).
  • Stream-lined user interface.
  • Support for up to 16 channels for immersive workflows.
  • 64-bit internal processing.
  • Fully vectorized GUI with zoom up to 200%.

Use Everywhere, All The Time

LOUD can be used on single tracks, beefing up bass lines, making synths sit in the mix better, giving strummed acoustic guitars a tighter attack and more sparkle, levelling vocals easily, generally reigning in your sounds, and putting them in a good place quickly.

Actually, you may want to insert it on all your project's tracks, then simply adjust MODE, TONE and DRIVE to taste per track...you'll be surprised how far this takes you! Even when your tracks are already optimized or slammed, you'll typically still get a little something extra out of LOUD.

For mix buses, LOUD gives you a more compact and together sound, without the need for manually tuning compression time constants, thresholds, or ratios every time your sources change (well, you may want to adjust DRIVE if changing stuff around a lot, of course).

For the master, it's an easy, free couple of dB, and another color/element for your (probably very elaborate) chain.

In post and sound design, LOUD makes your sound effects and designed assets sound fuller, so they cut through loud action scenes more easily.

Oh and in proper zynaptiq style, all of the above is true for channel counts up to 16 for immersive workflows!

Five-Trick Pony

LOUD does a whole bunch of things in one go, under control of just a handful of controls. It brings out inherent detail while increasing signal density using the INTENSITY 2 algorithm, ensures impact survives the limiter using PUNCH processing, adjusts tone by adaptively pushing the frequency response towards a Fletcher-Munson or A-Weighted response (courtesy of BALANCE), applies smooth, punchy feed-back multi-band limiting, and then throws in a tad of saturation.

Minimalist Signal Path

LOUD uses just a single filter bank to do all that - analysis and band gain computation are performed in series, but applied all in one go. This makes for a lighter-weight, absolutely minimalist signal path, giving you an even cleaner sound, with lower latency, and less CPU/RAM use as compared to running them in a row as separate plug-ins. Sounds like a good idea? We thought so.
