Version 2 retains everything from the original while introducing a feedback delay, new degradation effects, and deeper control across its six signature modules.

Evolving echoes and granular atmospheres

The new Echo effect places RC-20’s own processing inside a feedback delay loop, allowing repeats to wobble, distort, and degrade with every pass. Create shifting echoes that develop their own character as they fade, or use Grains to transform delay trails into wide, shimmering ambient soundscapes and granular textures.

A new generation of digital character

The new Codec effects explore the sounds of lossy digital processing, from network compression and packet dropouts to formant shifts and smeared, blurry artifacts. Blend these textures into your sound for subtle digital wear, or push them further for pronounced degradation and experimental effects.

Explore new tape, classic preamp, and 4-track cassette distortions alongside 32 new reverb types. Warp modulation, Digital Sputter and Drive, Space ducking, and pre/post Noise blend provide even more ways to shape the character and movement of your processing.

Drag the Wobble, Distort, Digital, Space, and Loss modules into different orders to discover new interactions and timbres. Dedicated Focus/Cut filters in the Noise, Wobble, Distortion, and Loss modules let you target specific frequency ranges, helping you place each effect where it makes the greatest impact.

Lock modulation, Magnetic tape flutter, and Echo times to your project’s tempo for rhythmic movement that stays connected to your track. From measured pulses to evolving textures, RC-20 makes it easy to bring motion into your production.

Automatic Loudness Match balances the processed output against the dry signal, helping you evaluate tonal changes without being distracted by differences in volume. Snapshot comparisons make it easy to explore alternatives, while full undo history lets you experiment freely.

Module locking preserves selected settings while you explore, and modifier-key controls let you adjust several parameters at once.
