The Violet EQ is a 2-band minimum phase-shift shelving EQ from the critically acclaimed Fusion Stereo Analogue Colour processor. It is the first new Solid State Logic analogue EQ design in more than 25 years and is now available for you DAW.
Violet EQ draws on SSL's legacy and deep understanding of production workflow to develop an exceptionally musical sounding EQ with carefully selected frequency points and response curves to offer the perfect balance of tone and control. Whether it's adding high-end sheen to your masters or sculpting a bass line to fit perfectly in the mix, the simple but effective controls and exceptional sound quality of Violet EQ Plug-in will enhance your productions.
Above and beyond what is found on Fusion hardware, "FAT" processor has been added to enhance Violet EQ Plug-in's low frequency control. When the HPF is engaged, "FAT" adds a subtle bump around the filters cut-off frequency, adding low-end punch back into the signal.

The combination of high-frequency phase-shift, additional harmonic distortion and natural low-frequency roll-off that only an analogue transformer can provide. SSL Fusion Transformer Plug-in captures the unique mojo of an analogue transformer in your DAW.
Emulating the 600-ohm, 1:1-wound under-damped transformer found in the Fusion hardware, SSL Transformer Plug-in adds low-end thickening and high-end sheen to your productions. From subtle presence and body on vocals and instruments, to tight lows and sizzling highs on mixes and masters, the combination of processing effects Transformer Plug-in offers could be the magic your mix or master is after.
Use SHINE to attenuate the HF phase shift and turn up the AMOUNT to amplify harmonic distortion. Both controls can be used to drive the processing effect beyond the original circuit found in the Fusion hardware.
The Stereo Image Plug-in brings Fusion's mid-side circuit to your DAW. Acclaimed for its natural sounding, 3D enhancing capabilities, Stereo Image Plug-in allows you to fine-tune the width, depth and space around your sounds, instruments, vocals and entire mix.
The Stereo Image Plug-in is modelled on the mid-side processing circuit from the SSL Fusion stereo outboard hardware processor. This true-analogue circuit utilizes a technique that separates a stereo signal into two channels: a sum (L+R) for the sounds in the center (Mid) and a difference signal (L-R) for the sounds on the left and right (Side) allowing you to narrow or widen the stereo image using the WIDTH control.
The SPACE circuit is a frequency-dependent width control based on the concept of Stereo Shuffling, allowing you to inject interesting depth effects into your mix. Stereo Image Plug-in exposes a brand-new SHUFFLE control for changing the frequency cut-off in the SPACE circuit, allowing you to add weight and presence or carve space in the stereo field.
Watch Sean Divine guide us through applying width and depth to vocals, strings and full mix using Stereo Image Plug-in.
The SSL Fusion HF Compressor plug-in emulates the high frequency smoothing circuit from the SSL Fusion stereo outboard hardware processor. This circuit affects only the high frequencies and is designed to quickly deliver smooth compression and a tape-like high frequency roll-off to tame unwanted harshness that can build up in a mix, or with individual stems " with the ratio, attack and release all optimised for maximum transparency.
In addition to the features of the original hardware, the SSL Fusion HF Compressor plug-in introduces MIX and AUTO GAIN controls, which allow you to non-destructively dial in the perfect amount of HF smoothing and apply an automatic makeup gain to the compressed frequencies. Combined with feedback from the Gain Reduction graphs, meter and circuit activity LED from the original hardware, quickly taming harshness is a breeze.
Along with ECO mode for tracking and recording, the SSL Fusion HF Compressor plug-in also introduces a brand-new feature of the SSL Plug-in Engine " built-in help. Simply click the question mark "?" symbol in the bottom-right hand corner and mouseover the GUI for context-aware guidance and information about the plug-in and its controls.
Plugins are still undergoing testing for Mac OS Sequoia.
All plug-ins have Native support for Apple silicon (M1/ARM) for the VST, VST3 and AU and AAX formats.
SSL plug-ins have been tested on the following platforms:
SSL Native should be compatible with any DAW that supports VST, AU, AAX or RTAS plug-ins. This includes most common DAW applications.
