Modern analog flavor, tasty price.

When you think ELI, you think rock & roll. You think Dave Derr. You think quality modern analog. Aggressive, but never harsh in the extremes. The Empirical Labs Complete Collection allows you to do more than think about it. It lets you hear it, feel it, touch it, and taste it. All. For less.

Made in close collaboration with Dave Derr himself, this bundle of Empirical plug-ins will give your mixes that coveted analog tang heard on so many thousands of records. Precisely modeled and calibrated with mixing professionals and recording engineers in mind, the collection brings the retro grunge that ELI does so well into the DAW-based studio. Into your studio.

The Empirical Labs Complete Collection 2 includes the following plug-ins:

Empirical Labs Professor Punch-Knuckles

Professor Punch-Knuckles delivers weight, force, and explosive character for your drums, vocals, and more – all with the unmistakable sonic character of Empirical Labs. Featuring three distinct types of modeled distortion/saturation – Toasty, Crunchy, and Distress – the Professor is the quickest way to take your sound from warm tones, through gentle breakup, all the way to the classic distortion/compression sound of the Empirical Labs Distressor.

Empirical Labs Mike-E Comp

The expertly-modeled, native plug-in version of Mike-E is a compressor, saturator, and pre-amp in one. It’s a novel and potent tool applicable to many different sound sources. Use it as a robust mix workhorse, an artistic transient shaper, decay shaper, saturator, or classic compressor. Mike-E is stacked with features that help you go overboard while leaving bitterness in the dust.

Empirical Labs Lil FrEQ

The warm and punchy analog sound of the Empirical Labs Lil FrEQ makes it something of an oddity in the world of equalizers. But it’s no sideshow. With its heart-shaped box of tricks, mighty analog tone, and de-essing chops, we’re hard-pressed to think of a more powerful analog EQ.

Empirical Labs Trak Pak for Console 1

Masterfully recreated in cooperation with Dave Derr and Empirical Labs, Trak Pak is a channel strip unlike any other in our catalog. It combines the signature ELI sound with the myriad workflow benefits that Console 1 is known and loved for.

Here we are now

Empirical Labs, under the leadership of the pro audio icon Dave Derr, is on a mission to make innovative, long-lasting equipment that’s a riot to use.
