AKAI Marco Polo Boombap Essentials Vol 1

Marco Polo – Bap Essentials Vol. 1 brings the raw, authentic sound of underground Hip-Hop directly to your MPC. Created by acclaimed producer Marco Polo in collaboration with his longtime MPC mentor Shy The BeatYoda, this collection draws on years of crate-digging expertise to deliver classic drum sounds, sample chops, and musical elements with a genuine “straight from the crates” character.

Designed to cover a wide range of Hip-Hop styles, Bap Essentials moves from slow, gritty Griselda-inspired vibes to the unmistakable energy of Golden Era production around 95 BPM. The collection combines hard-hitting drums and percussion with bass, effects, musical elements, and sample chops, giving producers a versatile palette for building rugged, soulful, and character-filled beats.

With Marco Polo handling the musical elements, bass, effects, and percussion, and Shy The BeatYoda crafting the drums, Bap Essentials Vol. 1 captures the feel of a hard-hitting beat tape in a production-ready MPC Expansion. Whether you're looking for dusty Boom Bap grooves, raw underground Hip-Hop textures, or fresh inspiration for your next beat, this collection delivers the authentic character and timeless feel that define Marco Polo's production style.
