With LoFi Tapestop you can replicate the pitch behavior and instabilities an analog tape player produces when starting up or stopping. With Flux, Noise and Muffle effects, as well as fully customizable start and stop times, you have full control - make it accurate or loose and bring your sound to life any way you like. To give you even more control over your starts and stops, the plugin can optionally run in full sync with your session and starts and stops can be triggered by use of automation at any time. 

Every producer should have access to classic Tapestop and Tapestart effects that are easy to use and sound perfectly real. This innovative tool features a Dust control to add authentic noise and artifacts, and a Flux control to introduce fluctuating pitch warble for that vintage tape feel. Shape the tone of your slowdown and startup with the Muffle control, for added flexibility. Sync your effects seamlessly with your session’s BPM and retrigger the start or stop as much as you like for total creative freedom. Start/Stop

• The Start button triggers the start-up of the virtual tape machine. It will create a classic pitch up effect and start the playback. Fully retriggerable, so no need to stop first!
• The Stop button triggers the slow-down and stop of the virtual tape machine. It will create a pitch down effect, famously heard in clubs and on countless great productions. Fully retriggerable, so no need to start first! 
• The Time Knob allows you to set the time that each start-up or slow-down takes. Depending on the Time Mode setting this can be in milliseconds or note values that sync to your session. Starts and stops can be up to 9999ms long (nearly 10 seconds)!
• This Time Switch allows you to choose between free-running time mode (milliseconds) and synced beat mode for the start and stop time control. 

Flux

• A staple of Yum Audio's LoFi series, the visual display gives you a clear visual representation of the current tape behavior inside the plugin. 
• The Flux slider allows you to add pitch warble and errors to the start-up and slow-down effects. At 0% the effect is fully accurate, like a pristine tape machine. At 100% the effect is full of character and analog modelled imperfections. Tweak as you like!

Dust

• The Dust slider will add warm noise and fuzz to your tape-starts and -stops. This is an actively changing control, meaning the lower the pitch of the signal becomes the noisier it gets.
• The Muffle slider will reduce the brightness of the tape starts and stops. This is an actively changing control, meaning the lower the pitch of the signal becomes the more muffled it gets. 
• The Shape switch allows you to select between two different shapes for the start-up and slow-down behavior. It can be set to linear or curved behavior, both modelled from real world devices.
