  • Mac OSX 10.9 and later (64bits only): VST, Audio Unit, AAX (native). Compatible on Big Sur with Rosetta (native Apple Silicone will be availabe soon)
  • Windows 7,8 and 10 (32 & 64 bits); VST, AAX (native)
  • KaoX is protected with iLok (PACE antipiracy system) allowing up to 2 independant locations: iLok 2 & 3 and soft (meaning without any hardware key)

Warning: KaoX is not a stand-alone application and requires a VST/AU/AAX compatible host application to function correctly.

    Brilliant-sounding behemoth

    I’ve never played the Yamaha synth that this is based on, so I can’t vouch for the “acccuracy,” but with the amount of modulation and sequencer and routing options, it could hardly be comparable. It’s one of those fun synths that inspires you to experiment. There are a several different sub-tabs in the interface, but that’s to be expected. It’s nowhere near as bad as AAS Ultra Analog, so you can’t expect it to all fit on one screen. I took a star off because the cpu usage is a bit high in my M1 Mac (albeit running on Rosetta), and it crashed once while demoting it. It’s uncommon thoighS
