Studio Jazz Drums brings the timeless sound of an exquisite jazz kit to the Vienna Synchron Player with extraordinary detail and flexibility. Recorded in the acoustically controlled Silent Stage, the kit can be placed seamlessly into any virtual acoustic space – from intimate clubs to large halls. The Kit

At the heart of Studio Jazz Drums lies an exclusive customized Rogers drum set from the 1960s, paired with a Paiste 2002 signature snare prototype and original Avedis Zildjian cymbals. Every nuance of the kit has been meticulously sampled, capturing not only single hits with sticks, brushes, and mallets, but also the sonic personality of each instrument across multiple playing areas. You can intuitively explore these zones simply by moving the mod wheel – from the center of the drumhead to the rim – unleashing a stunning variety of colors and a performance that feels exceptionally vivid and alive.

What a Ride

This collection offers a remarkable variety of playing techniques: single strokes, rim shots, flams, ruffs, rolls, press rolls, stick-on-stick, and cross-stick variations, with multiple repetition patterns for natural flow. The extensive brush set features tip, tap, flat, legato, and bouncing strokes, as well as a wide palette of swishes – from circles to samba grooves. Special focus was given to the ride cymbal, the heartbeat of countless jazz pieces, responding dynamically to your tempo, velocity, playing zone, and the number of times the cymbal was already hit.
