    Description

    Based on the Yamaha Hipgig portable drumkit BFD Cocktail is an expansion kit for BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2 based on the Yamaha Hipgig portable drumkit.

    Developed in conjunction with world-renowned drummer Rick Marotta, the Hipgig kit works brilliantly for all kinds of music. The drums feature 7-ply birch/mahogany shells and their upfront sound is perfect for pop, rock, jazz and funk amongst other genres.

    BFD Cocktail is recorded in similar conditions to the BFD Jazz & Funk and BFD Percussion expansions as well as the Mapleworks kits in BFD3. It has also been designed to sound great with BFD libraries recorded in other locations.

      Nice small kit

      Wish it would have a floor tom as well, but could be added from other libraries.

      Really like the kick tunes down by 3-4 semitones and slightly damped.

      Nice shorts snare as well.

      This kit surprised me

      I thought that this kit would be a one trick pony. I was wrong. It is a very small download compared to other expansions so limited pieces/articulations. The Presets show that there is a lot of mileage out of these kit pieces. Uses stock hihats/cymbals. Good for Funk/Drum&Bass amongst other genres. Not for metal or heavier stuff though.
