Slate Digital VMR Essentials

Revival for anything that's lacking highest highs sparkle, and even adding "thump" to high gain downtuned metal guitars that were played with a weaker pick attack especially during palm mutes. The Monster is my go-to parallel squasher preferrably with the HF detection reduced, punch engaged, either fastest or slowest attack, with fastest release, no more than 7dB GR, around %20-30 wet, sometimes following my main drum room mic group compressor as a second "sustainer" of some sorts. FG-A had been a long favorite for broad stroke colorative EQ moves, and the 2A is my #1 for vocals and acoustic guitars, along with another 2A/3A switchable suite from another acclaimed company. The 902 de-esser is my go-to when I need something very quick that does the job for least-problematic vocals. Haven't had the chance to do a shootout with the other well known emulation, but don't need to anyways. Having perpetual licenses for such a cheap price tag is a steal, really.

As previously stated, I used to subscribe to the slate everything bundle but due to financial issues I have cancelled my subscription but loved the plugins, now they are available on sale and separately its a no brainer. I already own 3 of the plugins in this essentials bundle but it was worth the $24.50 for the three I didnt have. The good thing about Slate products is if you are not sure what you are getting with a specific item there is usually a video with Steven Slate giving an easy to understand demo. Highly recommended.
