Veronika Vitazkova

All instruments in the Synchron World Winds library were played by multi-instrumentalist, folk instruments expert, and member of the Synchron Stage Orchestra, Veronika Vitazkova. She has played in many orchestras, among them the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, and Tonk¼nstler Orchestra, toured Europe as a solo flutist with the late Ennio Morricone, and played at esteemed festivals from Salzburger Festspiele to Hollywood in Vienna.

Having performed on countless film scores at Synchron Stage Vienna, Veronika feels very much at home on the large Stage A and marvels at the exceptional acoustics of this scoring stage that contribute substantially to the overall sound of each instrument. Recording for Synchron World Winds, she not only draws from her experiences of performing as a solo artist or ensemble member of the Synchron Stage Orchestra, but also from recording samples for libraries such as Synchron Woodwinds, Big Bang Orchestra, and the free Fujara Flute.

Multiple Microphone Positions

To capture the spectacular ambience of -Stage A- of Synchron Stage, our engineers employed seven separate phase-coherent microphone configurations to provide a broad range of room options. All of them are available as separate channels in the mixer section of the Vienna Synchron Player that lets you create the sound according to your needs and liking.

Pre-configured mixer presets provide a wide variety of tonal characteristics, from close to ambient, from lush to sparkling, from natural to heavily processed. As with all Synchron Libraries, you can mix your woodwinds sound in stereo, 5.1 surround or even Dolby Atmos and 9.1 Auro 3D, or any other immersive audio format.

Microphone Setup - Standard Library

The Standard Library and the Full Library of Synchron World Winds both include the same set of articulations. The difference lies in the number of provided microphone positions:

1. Close Mic - Mono
2. Mid Mic - Stereo (L/R)
3. Main/Room Mic - Decca Tree Stereo (L/R)
4. Main/Room Mic - Decca Tree Mono (Center)

The main surround microphone settings may also be used instead of the main stereo room mics in order to achieve a wider and more ambient mix. Blending surround signals with the other microphone signals creates a denser, more lush overall sound, even in stereo applications.

Room Mix Presets feature an excellent mix-down to stereo from the Decca tree and surround mic positions for a CPU and RAM-saving sound that-s perfectly balanced right out-of-the-box. A host of Mixer Presets is available in the categories of -Decca Tree Multi-Mic-, -Surround to Stereo Downmix-, and -Surround-.

The Standard Library and the upgrade to the Full Library are separate downloads.
