TH-U Made In Rock – PFL 100

The finest and most unique fluid capture of the HIWATT* 100 DR103 head and its matched cabinet, which belonged to David Gilmour* during his Pink Floyd* years.

The History of a Legend

This is the head used to record the 1977 Animals album and numerous live performances.

Head date: 1971
Serial no: 16xx series
Purchased from: Chris Hewitt
Serviced by: Pete Cornish
The head is matched with the 4x12" Wem* Starfinder cabinet, equipped with Fane Crescendo* speakers.

Every Tonal and Emotional Detail Captured

The TH-U PFL 100 model is renowned for its exceptional cleans and wide dynamic range, making it the perfect effects pedal platform. This amplifier features two input channels, Normal and Brilliant, each with its own independent drive knob. The Linked input allows for mixing the two channels, offering an infinite combination of tones. When the channel volume knobs are turned past 2 o’clock, the amp starts to break up and "grind" the top end, revealing a rich and colorful crunchy tone.

The matched cabinet is the 4x12" Wem Starfinder* with Fane Crescendo* speakers, which can handle a huge dynamic range while retaining a lot of definition. It has been captured with 18 microphones with high-resolution nonlinear IRs; thanks to Overloud's Fluid Convolution, you can place up to four microphones in the 3D space around the cab and blend them with custom IRs. The ReSPiRe option adds the feeling of standing near the cabinet.
