Description

Your mix can sound great in the studio and still fall apart on other speakers. REFERENCE 3 shows you exactly what to fix so it sounds great everywhere.

It analyses your mix against professional tracks and shows you exactly how to adjust your EQ, width, dynamics, and the balance of your channels to match your reference track. So instead of slowly drifting away from what sounds good you've got a clear direction and you get there way faster.

REFERENCE 3 can analyze your song, and suggest the best references for your mix. Each reference is labelled with mix descriptors for tonal balance, stereo width, dynamics, and loudness. They tell you how the reference compares to most released music, which stops bad comparisons, since you can see when a track’s profile doesn’t match the direction you’re aiming for.

Get the fader balance right, and you’ll solve the majority of your mixing problems. Mix Balance suggests the gain adjustments needed for your vocals, drums, music, and bass to match the same relative balance of your reference.

The Master Scope shows you what to do to get your track sounding like the reference. The Level Line shows the exact EQ boosts and cuts you need. The Width Display shows where your stereo image needs to open up or tighten in, across the whole spectrum. The Match Percentage shows how close you are to the sound of your reference in real time. You can literally quantify that you’re making progress.

Over-Compression shows the frequencies that are significantly less punchy compared to the reference. Phase Analysis flags any frequencies that'll cause you problems in mono.

The Mix Instructor simplifies the Master Scope visuals into plain language. Three bands, updating live. Boost here, cut width there. Couldn't be easier.

Everything's level matched in real time, because a louder reference always sounds better, and that fools everyone, it’s literally the main reason the car test always fails. Level Match takes that out of the equation so you're making proper decisions, not just reacting to volume.

Smart Loop finds the loudest section of every reference automatically. Track Align automatically syncs alternate versions. And REFSEND lets you A/B any processing chain with perfect level matching, so you know exactly what your chain is actually doing.

Every producer should be referencing. REFERENCE 3 is the fastest way to do it.
